SkiComCu Plenary 1 – Wroclaw, Poland
/in News/by Marcio TameiraoOn the 24th and 25th of April 2024, the SkiComCu partners gathered in Wroclaw, Poland, for the first Plenary Meeting of the project. The event, hosted by the partner KGHM CUPRUM, was held in hybrid mode, allowing the participation and interaction of the partners who could not attend physically.
This Plenary Meeting was a strategic opportunity to discuss and update the work accomplished within each of the Work Packages since the kick-off meeting, held in November 2023, in Athens.
The agenda started with the presentation by the coordinating institution Elval Halcor, who provided an overview of the administrative topics and the recent achievements within the Work Package on project management. After that, each WP leader was invited to present the progress of their respective work, explaining the foreseen challenges and activities for the near future, and concluding with open discussion with the involvement of all project partners.
Several activities emerged from this meeting, and pending issues were discussed to develop the work plan for the following weeks. Now the consortium partners are aligned and committed on finding solutions to the upcoming tasks, and to collaborate on the execution of joint assignments.
The next day was dedicated to a site visit to the underground salt and copper mine organised by KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. It was a great opportunity for the partners to learn about the procedures, activities, dynamics, and the machinery involved in the mining activities.
