SkiComCu Final Consortium Meeting and Training Session

On June 12, SkiComCu partners gathered online for the project’s Final Consortium Meeting, marking an important milestone in the collaboration. The meeting brought together all partners to review the overall progress, reflect on key achievements, and align on the final steps towards the successful completion of the project.

Throughout the session, Work Package leaders presented the latest updates on activities, deliverables, and results. The meeting provided an opportunity to consolidate outcomes, ensure consistency across all work streams, and discuss the remaining actions needed to maximise the project’s impact and reach the Key Performance Indicators. Partners also exchanged feedback and insights, reinforcing collaboration and ensuring a coherent closing phase.

In addition to the consortium discussions, participants took part in a live online training session on the Supply Chain of Copper, developed and delivered by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and led by Dr. Michail Samouhos. The session offered a concise overview of the copper value chain, from extraction and processing to recycling and manufacturing, while addressing key aspects such as market dynamics, metallurgical processes, and sustainability considerations. Designed for both technical and non-technical audiences, the training supported a shared understanding of copper’s role in the clean energy transition and sustainable development.

Bringing together technical updates, strategic discussions, and capacity-building activities, the final meeting highlighted the strength of collaboration within the SkiComCu consortium. It also underscored the project’s contribution to improving knowledge and communication across the copper sector.
